Bhiwani: Members of Prayas Ek Koshish social organization, which has been working for environmental protection for the last several years in Loharu of Bhiwani district, celebrated the Raksha Bandhan festival by tying the Raksha Sutra to the plants and taking an oath to protect them.

On this occasion, the founder of the organization, Master Pawan Swami, Doctor Umed Jangid, told us that for the last several years, their organization has been running a campaign to take a pledge to protect the plants by tying the Raksha Sutra to the Rakshabandhan festival for environmental protection.

He said that just as plants protect our lives, it is our responsibility to protect them as well. The campaign being run by the organization has started getting recognition, and since last year, the Haryana government has also been running this program and motivating the general public for the protection and conservation of plants.

Dr. Rajiv Vats, Rinku Kumar, said that for environmental protection, their organization runs campaigns like Plant Trees—Save the Earth, Plant Trees, Make trees, Selfie with trees, and Mission Hariyali. Breaths are becoming less. Come plant trees, we and one tree—one life. Celebrate the birthday of plants. Our aim is not only to plant trees. It is more important that the planted saplings become trees. Environmental protection is the collective responsibility of all of us. We should fulfil our responsibility.

He told me that the Prayas Ek Koshish social organization does not only believe in planting trees. But is also committed to their protection. This year this campaign has gained momentum in various places of the country, and many organizations took an oath to protect the planted saplings by tying the Raksha Sutra to them, which is a very positive initiative.
