Passport Seva portal to be shut down for 5 days, Read to know all about it

New Delhi: If you are thinking of applying for a new passport or any other related service, then drop your plan and reschedule it after September 2 as you have to wait for at least five days. New Delhi: If you are thinking of applying for a new passport or any other related service, then drop your plan and reschedule it after September 2 as you have to wait for at least five days. Passports will not be made for the next five days across country.

Passport Seva Portal, the online platform which is used to make passports and other services will be shut down from today. From August 29 to September 2, there will be no passport-making work. The portals of the passport department will remain closed in the passport offices across the country. The reason for the same is that passport seva portal will be undergoing technical maintenance work following which services will not be provided.

The facility will be unavailable for five days due to technical maintenance. This information has been given by the passport department.

Not just the general public but services will not be accessible by even all MEAs, RPOs, BOIs, ISPs, DOPs, and police officers.
