Mumbai: Actor R. Madhavan recently asked his ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ (RHTDM) co-star Dia Mirza why she isn’t aging, and she had a heartwarming response to his question. The film, originally released on October 19, 2001, has been re-released in theaters after 23 years.
Expressing gratitude to their fans for the love and support throughout all these years, Dia and Madhavan conducted a live session on Instagram, recently. During the session, we can hear Madhavan saying to Dia: “Fans are asking why is Dia not ageing?” To this Dia replied, “Because Maddy (Madhavan) is not ageing.
” Madhavan laughed and further said: “My soul is grey right now”, to which Dia replied, “I have coloured my hair.” Dia captioned the video as: “We just wanted to say a BIG thank you.. #RHTDM for all the love you have shown us over the last 23 years and the love you are giving the film in theatres right now”. The romantic drama film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, also starred Saif Ali Khan in the lead role.
The film is a remake of the director’s own Tamil film ‘Minnale’. Meanwhile, Madhavan has been a part of movies like ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’, ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Guru’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu: Returns’. He made his directorial debut in 2022 with biographical drama ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, written, produced, and directed by Madhavan. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, played by Madhavan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
He was then seen in ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’, and ‘Shaitaan’. The 54-year-old actor next has ‘Amriki Pandit’, ‘Adhirshtasaali’, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, ‘Shankara’, and ‘Dhurandhar’. On the other hand, Dia is currently seen in the web series ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’. The crime thriller drama revolves around the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha and written by Adrian Levy and Trishant Srivastava. It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Vijay Varma, and Arvind Swamy.
