Fazilka: Border Security Force Troops in a display of vigilance neutralized a drone and suspected heroin packet. The recovery was made by the BSF troops in Fazilka Border.
On 2nd Sept 2024, during the evening hours, a drone movement was observed on the Fazilka border by BSF troops on duty. Immediately technical counter measures were activated to neutralize the drone, followed by an extensive search operation.
The search culminated at around 04:50 pm with the successful recovery of 01 drone along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 500 Grams). The packet was wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and attached to the drone with an improvised loop. This recovery took place adjacent to village- Churi wala Chisti in Fazilka district.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic. Quick reaction by the dutiful and vigilant BSF troops resulted in this significant recovery of a drone with narcotics launched from across the border
