Khanna: In a recent development, the Enforcement Directorate has raided the house of Congress leader Rajdeep Singh in Ikolahi village of Khanna in Punjab. It is being told that the ED team from Jalandhar arrived here in Khanna early at 4 am.

Investigation is being done at Rajdeep’s house in Ikolahi. It is also known from sources that the ED team is investigating his commission agent shop which is there in Asia’s largest grain market Khanna. According to sources, this investigation is related to the tender scam related to former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu.

This raid is linked to the tender scam involving former cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu. However, sources suggest that this investigation is not limited just to the tender scam but also extends to allegations of disproportionate assets.

Earlier, last month, Bharat Bhushan Ashu was taken into custody by ED after a prolonged interrogation session at their office in Jalandhar. He faces serious charges under the Money Laundering Act, with allegations centered around his involvement in a multi-crore foodgrain transportation and labor cartage tender scam during his tenure in the previous Congress government.

The investigation has already uncovered crucial documents related to property valued at approximately Rs 1.5 crore and led to the seizure of around Rs 30 lakh in cash.
