Paris Olympics double medalist Manu Bhaker attends beating retreat ceremony

Amritsar: Olympian Manu Bhakar and her family members reached the Wagah border to witness the beating retreat ceremony. On this occasion, Manu Bhakar and his family enjoyed the ceremony and encouraged the BSF officers. She said that she had come to Punjab for the first time and got the opportunity to see the retreat ceremony.

On this occasion, Manu Bhakar and his family enjoyed the ceremony and encouraged the BSF officers. She said that she had come to Punjab for the first time and got the opportunity to see the retreat ceremony at the Wagha border for the first time. Amazed by it, she said she would appeal all people to come to the Wagha border once and see the parade of jawans and encourage them.

Talking about her experience, she said that when the parade started, she was very excited to see how the youth and Jawan of the Army performed in  the parade. She also added that when it comes to Punjab, the first thing in her mind that comes is milk, curd, lassi and butter.

During the Paris Olympics Manu Bhakar became the first Indian woman to win two bronze medals in the Paris Olympics. She won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event and became the first Indian woman to win two bronze medals.
