Jalandhar: A young man died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday afternoon in Jalandhar. In the initial investigation, the case seems to be of drug overdose. The police have recovered an injection, lighter, and empty glass from near the dead body. Police Station Division number 3 is investigating the matter. At the same time, the residents of the locality also alleged that young men often come to their locality to take drugs.
The police of police station division number-3 have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. After the post mortem is done it will be clear how long the youth has been consuming drugs.
According to the information received, the youth was lying in a deserted street near Pratap Bagh for about five hours. At first, the passersby thought that he had become unconscious after consuming drugs. But when there was no movement in him for five hours, the matter was reported to Jalandhar Police. After which the PCR team reached the crime scene first for investigation. When it was known that its a matter of death possibly due to drug overdose, the police of Thana Division Number-3 were immediately called to the spot.
The said youth was immediately sent to the hospital through ambulance. The police are assuming the case to be an overdose, because an injection, a lighter and a glass have been recovered from near the body. The police are trying to identify the deceased as nothing could be found from him that could testify his name and address.
