Bathinda: In a shocking incident, a son killed his father. In Nathpura village of Bathinda district of Punjab, a son killed his father when he was sleeping. The incident took place late on Monday night. The accused son killed his father by attacking him with an axe while he was sleeping.
Investigation conducted by the police has revealed that the deceased was addicted to alcohol and used to beat his wife and son brutally after drinking alcohol. It is said that late on Monday night, Parminder Singh, a resident of Nathpura village, consumed alcohol and beat his wife and son.
Enraged by this beating, Parminder Singh’s son Sukhdeep Singh attacked his own father, who was sleeping, with an axe. He killed him by hitting him on the head with an axe. The severity of the injury can be understood by the fact that there was huge blood loss leading to his death on spot.
After getting information about the incident, Nathana police station reached the spot on Tuesday morning and started investigating the case. It is being told that the police have arrested the accused son too.
