Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu condemned the hate speech made by the leaders of BJP and allied parties against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Addressing a press conference in Shimla on Wednesday, CM Sukhu said, political bread cannot be baked by making personal comments and open threats like this.

The CM said that BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda should take cognizance of such comments made by their own party leaders. He said that elections are in North India therefore such comments are being made to draw attention. He added that the Congress party condemns such comments.

The Himachal Chief Minister, while verbally attacking Ravneet Singh Bittu, said, “When he was an MP from Congress, he used to sing praises of Rahul Gandhi. Now he is making such statements to secure his position in the Bharatiya Janata Party, this is condemnable. Principles should not be sacrificed for the sake of the position.”

In the afternoon, the Mahila Congress also protested outside the DC office in the case of hate speech against Rahul Gandhi. The president of the Mahila Congress, Zainab Chandel, attacked the BJP leaders for the comments being made on Rahul Gandhi.
