In an intelligence-based operation, Amritsar Rural Police have busted a cross-border smuggling module. The Police also apprehended two suspects having links with the module. Along with the arrest, Police recovered a total of 4 Glock-26 Pistols.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has shared the preliminary information about arrest and recovery through a post on X.
As per the police, The accused have been in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler, who has been pushing huge consignments of weapons and drugs into Indian territory through drones and other means.
Police arrested the accused and seized the weapons. Investigation is ongoing to establish further backward & forward linkages.
