Chandigarh: Gurinder Pal Singh Aujla, imprisoned in Dibrugarh Jail along with Member of Parliament of Khadur Sahib and head of Waris Punjab organization Amritpal Singh, has also challenged the reintroduced NSA in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He has said in his petition that he has nothing to do with Amritpal Singh and his organization.

They have even argued that at the time of the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijhar, a letter was written from jail condemning his murder. I had no signature on that letter. That sign was fake. Now the High Court has issued a notice to the Center and the Punjab government in this matter. The next hearing of the case has been fixed for October 3.

The government has now extended the NSA imposed on Amritpal Singh and his associates. After which, he himself and all his colleagues have challenged the extension of NSA one by one in Punjab and Haryana High Court. Everyone is making different arguments in their petitions.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has sought all the records from the Center and the Punjab government on this matter. The government will have to tell the court how this time was extended.

Gurinder Pal Singh Aujla was Amritpal Singh’s social media handler. He alone posted all the posts related to it. Earlier, Amritpal’s colleagues Daljit Singh Kalsi and Kulwant Singh Rauke had also challenged the NSA imposed on him. He is preparing to contest both the elections. Daljit Singh Kalsi is preparing to contest the Vidhan Sabha by-election from Dera Baba Nanak while Kulwant Singh Rauke wants to contest from Banala.
