12 labourers injured as Mahindra pick-up truck rams into tree in Samrala

Samrala: A Mahindra pickup truck loaded with farm laborers collided with tree leaving 12 labourers injured. The injured include women as well as Children. The incident is from Samrala where migrant farm workers from Gari Tarkhana, a village near Samrala were in the Mahindra pickup truck. The Truck carrying labourers collided with a tree on.

Samrala: A Mahindra pickup truck loaded with farm laborers collided with tree leaving 12 labourers injured. The injured include women as well as Children.

The incident is from Samrala where migrant farm workers from Gari Tarkhana, a village near Samrala were in the Mahindra pickup truck. The Truck carrying labourers collided with a tree on the road, injuring around 12 farm workers. The injured were admitted to the civil hospital in Samrala. The injured also include women and children where they received the initial treatment. Fortunately no loss of life has been reported from the accident.

One of the Injured laborers  Rahul said that like every day, the laborers were going to work from the village Gari Tarkhana in the pickup vehicle. As per them, the driver of the vehicle was reportedly under the influence of some kind of drug and was driving the vehicle. The driver lost his control over the pickup truck and it rammed into the tree.

Talking about the incident, Dr. Sancharika Shah of Government Hospital said that the migrant laborers were brought in at 9:30 am today, in which around 12 migrant workers were injured.She added that out of those who got injured, seven patients who sustained serious injuries were referred to a hospital in Ludhiana.
