Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah killed in Beirut airstrike, claims IDF

According to the Times of Israel, the IDF said that they had attacked Hezbollah's headquarters a day earlier, where Nasrallah was also present.

Beruit: Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has died in an airstrike on Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Friday (September 27). The Israel Defense Force (IDF) has claimed this major development. According to the Times of Israel, the IDF said that they had attacked Hezbollah’s headquarters a day earlier, where Nasrallah was also present.

Nasrallah was a member of the Iran-backed organization Hezbollah since 1992. He was one of the founder members of the organization. Israeli media house Channel 12 has claimed the death of Nasrallah as well as his daughter Zainab.

According to media reports, the body of the Hezbollah chief’s daughter has been found in the rubble of the command center that Israel attacked. He said that Lebanese officials have confirmed this.

“Hassan Nasrallah is dead,” military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani announced on X. Military spokesman Captain David Avraham also confirmed to AFP that the Hezbollah chief had been “eliminated” following strikes Friday on the Lebanese capital.

Earlier, late Friday night, Israel launched a missile attack on Hezbollah’s headquarters. 6 people were killed in this, while 90 were injured. The attack was carried out about an hour after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations (UN).

Israeli media reports have claimed that Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah’s daughter Zainab has been killed in this attack. Hezbollah has not confirmed Zainab’s death. Israeli Channel-12 has reported her death.
