New Delhi: According to the sources, On Tuesday the oil marketing companies announced a hike in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, effective from today (October 1st).
As per the official sources, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has been hiked by Rs 48.50, marking a significant rise for businesses and establishments that rely on these cylinders. Due to the increase in LPG cylinder prices, a 19 kg LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,740 in Delhi compared to Rs 1,691.50 earlier.
The prices of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders have risen by Rs 12, alongside the 19 kg variant.
This increase will significantly affect restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments that depend on these cylinders for their daily operations. Last month, on September 1st, oil marketing companies raised the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 39, bringing the retail price in Delhi to Rs 1,691.50. While commercial LPG prices have gone up, the rates for domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, providing some relief for households. The new prices are now effective nationwide, impacting the cost structure for businesses that rely on LPG for cooking and operations. This rise in costs may lead to higher operational expenses for the affected sectors, which could, in turn, drive up prices for consumers across various industries.
