Jalandhar: Late night in Jalandhar the residents of the locality near Hardayal Nagar created a stir against the police for not taking action against the drug smugglers. Late at night, the residents of the locality, who were adamant about the arrest of a smuggler named Laddu, a resident of Hardayal Nagar, made strong allegations and also protested against ASI Sanjay Kumar who arrived at the crime scene for investigation.
After this there was a heated argument between the police and the residents of the locality. The matter had escalated so much that the residents of the locality laid mats outside the house of the drug smuggler late at night and started protesting against him. However, later the police took the smuggler named Laddu into custody.
When ASI Sanjay Kumar Sharma, who arrived at the crime scene for investigation, assured action after getting evidence, the residents of the locality got angry at this. ASI Sanjay Kumar Sharma first said that even if a person sells drugs, he will be investigated but action cannot be taken without any evidence.
The residents of the locality got angry at ASI Sanjay’s words and started protesting against him. When the protest increased, the police took one person into custody from there. The residents of the locality alleged that the police were advocating for the drug smugglers instead of arresting them.
