In a tragic incident in Jeera city of Ferozepur district, a father lost his life after his son attacked him with a sharp object while father was trying to prevent him from taking drugs. Rakhpal Singh (48), a resident of Mohalla Malsiya Jeera, frequently argued with his son, Prabhjeet Singh, due to his drug Intervention.
Recently, when Rakhpal attempted to stop Prabhjeet from using drugs once again, the son became enraged and launched a violent attack on his father with a dagger. Rakhpal sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Jiara Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to excessive blood loss during treatment.
Rakhpal Singh’s wife, Manbir Kaur, filed a complaint at the City Jeera police station, leading to the registration of a case. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sahib Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against the accused, Prabhjeet Singh, and efforts to apprehend him are underway.
