Bathinda: In a major blow to organised crime in Punjab, the Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) arrested Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa who is the kingpin of the Jassa Burj Gang. The AGTF carried out this operation along with the Bathinda Police. Along with Jassa, 3 more associates of the gang were apprehended by the AGTF. The information was shared by DGP Gaurav Yadav in a post on X.

The arrested accused have criminal history and were involved in arms smuggling, snatching and kidnapping. As per records, total of 11 FIRs of henious crimes have been filed against Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa.
Police in the search operation recovered arms and ammunition. Police recovered 4 pistols (32 bore) with magazines and 11 live cartridges. A total of seven criminal cases have been registered against the accused in Punjab.
With the arrest of such notorious criminals and gangsters, the Punjab Police is making every effort to destroy the network of organized crime.
