Dinannagar: Last night, a car collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with straw and claimed the life of young man in the car. The accident took place near the village Banthawala on Dinanagar Bahrampur Road. In this accident, one has been reported dead while the other one got seriously injured and is undergoing treatment in hospital. On the other hand, the police of Bahrampur police station has taken the body in custody and started further action. The deceased has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, resident of Bahrampur.
According to the information, the deceased was coming from Dinanagar side in a Safari car along with his companions. When he reached near village Banthawala, while crossing, the car collided with tractor trolley carrying straw. As per information, Gurdeep Singh died on the spot while his other companion was seriously injured. Four others in the car narrowly escaped this accident.
After the incident, the tractor-trolley driver fled from the spot. The police took the body and the vehicle into custody and started further action.
Overloaded tractor-trolleys are the cause of most accidents. In winter, the risk of accidents increases even more as the visibility level also drops due to fog.
