Fierce clash between two factions of ISKCON in Patna, young disciples injured

Patna: There was a ruckus in the ISKCON temple of Patna, the capital of Bihar, late on Sunday evening. Two groups came face to face amid the ongoing tussle between the president and vice-president of the temple, causing chaos. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the Kotwali police station reached the spot and tried to calm the dispute. Kotwali Law and Order DSP Krishna Murari Prasad said that the temple administration and the young disciples clashed with each other over the rights in the temple.

The young disciples injured in this incident have lodged a written complaint at the Kotwali police station. Medical examination of all the injured is being done. DSP Law and Order said that the temple is a place of faith. Such an incident here is condemnable, strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.

A video of this dispute has also surfaced. It is visible in the video that the young disciples are being beaten and taken out of the temple premises. Police have been deployed in the ISKCON temple since the incident. Efforts were made to convince everyone. It is being told that there have been differences between the president and vice-president of the temple for a long time.

This incident has tarnished the image of the temple and there is anger among the devotees. Police are investigating the matter and action is expected against the culprits soon.
