Bathinda: Sadar Rampura police station storeroom (Malkhana) clerk (Munshi) has committed suicide by shooting himself with an AK-47 gun. The deceased has been identified as Sukhpal Singh. After the incident, the clerk was immediately taken to the nearest hospital by other police personnel for treatment. But by then he had died. Confirming this, SSP Amneet Kondal said that the police are investigating the matter.
According to the information, Sukhpal Singh was the clerk (Munshi) of the storeroom (Malkhana) in Sadar Rampura police station for some time. Like every day, he came to duty on Monday. He took the AK-47 gun from the storeroom (Malkhana) and committed suicide by shooting himself.
Sources said that when Sukhpal Singh shot himself, hearing the sound of the bullet, fellow police personnel reached the spot and immediately took him to the nearest hospital for treatment. But on reaching the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
SSP Amneet Kondal said that the store clerk of Sadar Rampura police station had shot himself. he has died. She said that the police are investigating the case as to why Sukhpal Singh shot himself. She said that the real reason will be known only after the investigation.
