Punjabi Youth from From Ferozepur dies in road accident in Canada

There is a wave of mourning in the village after the death of a young man abroad

Ferozepur: In a tragic incident, A young man who went to Canada to earn a living for a better future died in a fatal road accident in Canada. The deceased youth has been identified as Sarj Singh. He was a resident of village Chak Sadhuwala of district Ferozepur. It is being told that Sarj had gone abroad 7 months ago. There is a wave of mourning in the village after the death of a young man abroad.

The family told that Sarj had gone to Canada with his wife 7 months ago for daily bread and were living in Surrey, Canada. While he was there at the bus stop to go to work, a pick-up vehicle suddenly came and ran over Sarj Singh leaving him dead on the spot.

Sarj was the only brother of a sister. Sarj’s father had passed away earlier and he was the only breadwinner of his family.

Sarj Singh is survived by his elderly mother, wife, and an 11-year-old child. The family has appealed to the Punjab government to bring Sarj’s body back to India and his native village so that last rites could be performed.
