The International Dussehra Festival will be held in Kullu’s Dhalpur from October 13. The police administration has completed its preparations for security as well. During the festival, 1,380 personnel will be responsible for maintaining safety. Additionally, the police will check the documents of people coming from other states. The entire Dussehra site will be divided into sectors, with each sector monitored by a police officer where all personnel will carry out security duties.
SP Kullu Dr. Gokul Chandran Kartikeya mentioned that a road map has been issued regarding traffic management, and parking arrangements have also been made at various locations.
He added that checks are being conducted in all hotels, homestays, and guest houses in Kullu district due to the Dussehra festival. They are also questioning traders and workers coming from other states, and verifying their documents. SP Kullu stated that thousands of people participate in the International Dussehra Festival, so the police aim to manage things effectively to avoid traffic issues and ensure public safety. He urged the general public to park their vehicles only in designated areas before coming to Dussehra. If anyone notices any suspicious activities, they should promptly inform the Kullu police.
