Amritsar: In a major blow to trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, CI Amritsar successfully intercepted two suspicious vehicles and recovered narcotics in huge amounts. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X Handle.

The Counter Intelligence team, Amritsar successfully intercepted two suspicious vehicles near the village Sukhewala, Amritsar. Police recovered 10.4 Kg of heroin from the checking of suspicious vehicles.
During this One of the accused, Sukhraj Singh from Tarn Taran, along with another unidentified accomplice fled away in a Mahindra Scorpio. Police seized the Maruti Suzuki Baleno containing the illicit drugs on the spot.
The case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and extensive efforts are being made to apprehend the absconding suspects.
