The police informed that as the girls were returning home from the fair in Saraidih, they were intercepted by six men who assaulted them.

After managing to return home, the girls recounted their experience to their family. Initially, there were attempts to resolve the situation through the panchayat, but the girls ultimately decided to go to the police.

Another police officer confirmed that an investigation began following the formal complaint. Out of the six suspects, four have been arrested, including the son of a village head, while two remain at large.
