Narayan Sai has been granted permission by the Gujarat High Court to meet his father, Asaram, in Jodhpur jail for four hours after 11 years, citing humanitarian grounds due to Asaram’s health and age. Recently, Asaram was admitted to a hospital in Pune for medical issues. Narayan Sai, who is currently incarcerated in Surat’s Lajpore Jail on rape charges, had requested this meeting, which was approved by the court.

The High Court’s bench, including Justices Ilesh Vora and SV Pinto, ordered that Sai be flown to Jodhpur at his own expense, accompanied by a police delegation. It noted that Sai would be under police escort during the entire visit and that no one else—such as his mother or sister—would be allowed to join the meeting. Additionally, Sai must deposit Rs 5 lakh, and his request for 30 days of interim bail was denied.

Narayan Sai was arrested in 2013 for the sexual exploitation of two sisters, who alleged that both he and his father had raped them multiple times between 2002 and 2005. Narayan Sai was apprehended by Delhi Police at the Punjab-Haryana border and later sentenced to life in prison for the offense.
