Terrorist attack in Ganderbal: Doctor, non-locals among 7 killed

Ganderbal: Terrorists attacked non-locals in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night. 7 people including a doctor died in this deadly incident. At the same time, 5 laborers are also reported to be injured. They were referred to Srinagar Medical College.

All the laborers were working in the tunnel project run by the central government. Immediately after the attack, security forces surrounded the entire area. The search operation that started on Sunday night also continued on Monday morning.

Security forces have also killed 1 terrorist in Baramulla, 50 km away from this attack in Ganderbal. A large amount of weapons have also been recovered from him. The search operation is also going on in this area for further lead.

The area where the terrorist attack in Ganderbal took place falls in the assembly constituency of CM Omar Abdullah. After the incident, He said- I strongly condemn this attack and express my condolences to the victims families.

Home Minister Shah said that those involved in this attack will not be spared. At the same time, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that this attack is against those who contribute to the country’s development.

Victims of Deadly Attack

The doctor has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad from Budgam. The other six deceased have been identified as Gurmeet Singh from Gurdaspur, Punjab, Anil Kumar Shukla and Faheem Nazir from Behar, Shashi Abrol from Kathua, Mohammad Hanif and Kaleem from Bihar.
