Israeli Air Force (IAF) announced on October 21 that it carried out a series of targeted, intelligence-driven strikes against various facilities linked to Hezbollah’s military operations that support its terrorist activities against Israel. These strikes were conducted in locations including Beirut and southern Lebanon, extending deep into Lebanese territory.
According to a statement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the financing for Hezbollah’s terrorism was managed by the Al-Qard al-Hassan Association, which is directly involved in funding the group’s operations, such as weapon purchases and payments to Hezbollah operatives. The IDF noted that Hezbollah reportedly maintains billions of dollars within this association, including funds held in the name of the organization.
The IDF emphasized that prior to the strikes, numerous precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm, including issuing advance warnings to the local population through various channels. These operations are part of the IDF’s ongoing strategy to weaken Hezbollah’s military infrastructure and its ability to recover.
Simultaneously, in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces targeted and destroyed terrorist infrastructure and tunnel networks in the Jabaliya area, eliminating dozens of militants within a36-hour window. The IDF reported that members of the401st TDF unit neutralized several threats posed by terrorists who were engaging in attacks against them.
Additionally, in the Gaza Division’s operations in Rafah, Israeli forces dismantled terrorist infrastructure and a weapons warehouse located in central Gaza. In southern Lebanon, IDF forces successfully destroyed numerous weapon caches utilized by Hezbollah, including anti-tank missiles, launchers targeting northern settlements, RPG launchers, ammunition, and other combat equipment.
