A significant milestone has been achieved in India’s pageant and modeling scene with Rachel Gupta from Punjab winning the esteemed Miss Grand International title. She made history by becoming the first Indian to claim this title, receiving the crown from the outgoing titleholder, Luciana Fuster of Peru, at the world finals held in MGI Hall, Bangkok, Thailand. Along with her win, four runners-up were also honored: Christine Juliane Opiaza (1st runner-up) from the Philippines, Thae Su Nyein (2nd runner-up) from Myanmar, Safiétou Kabengele (3rd runner-up) from France, and Talita Hartmann (4th runner-up) from Brazil.
Rachel, who hails from Jalandhar, Punjab, is a professional model, actress, and entrepreneur, standing tall at 5 feet 10 inches. She speaks three languages fluently: English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Known as a crowd favorite, Rachel previously secured the Miss Grand India 2024 title at the Glamanand Supermodel India 2024 competition held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on August 11, 2024. In addition to her national title, she also won four significant special awards at the event, including Miss Top Model and Best National Costume.
