In a festive move for Punjab government employees and pensioners, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced a 4% increase in dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from November 1. Earlier it was 38 percent which has been now increased to 42 percent.

This decision, which Mann shared on social media platform X, is set to benefit over 6.5 lakh government employees and pensioners across the state.
