Ayodhya: A day after the Deepotsav celebrations, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started his Thursday with a visit to Hanumangarhi, where he offered prayers to Bajrangbali.
Following the rituals at Hanumangarhi, he made his way to Ramjanmabhoomi, where he prayed to Lord Ram Lala for the well-being and happiness of the people.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the Meerapur Bulandi Dalit Basti in Abhiram Das Ward, distributing sweets and clothing to Dalit women in celebration of Deepawali. He also handed out chocolates to children, whose delight was evident as they received treats from him.
In a media interaction afterward, CM Adityanath spoke about the importance of Diwali, reminiscing about the time Ayodhya was lit up with lamps in Treta Yuga following Lord Ram’s 14-year exile. He noted that this festival resonates deeply with devotees across the country, calling this year especially significant as it marks Lord Ram’s return to his rightful place after a 500-year gap.
Adityanath underscored that Diwali represents the dissemination of knowledge, faith, and prosperity. He expressed his hope that the festival brings joy and enthusiasm to the people of Uttar Pradesh and all followers of Sanatan Dharma, grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Hindu community during this sacred time.
After the celebrations in the Dalit colony, he visited Karsevakpuram to thank local sants for their support in organizing Deepotsav and to wish them a Happy Diwali. He declared, “Deepotsav has become synonymous with Ayodhya, bringing honor to our nation on the global stage.”
He further commented, “The government has fulfilled the aspirations of Ayodhya’s citizens and sants. Now, it is our collective responsibility to elevate this honor to greater heights.”
He cautioned against complacency, stating, “Those who remain idle will miss opportunities. We must avoid divisions based on caste, opinion, language, or religion, as such rifts will only weaken us. Our heritage and nation are secure now, and we must bravely defend our existence against any challenges. The future of India is closely linked to Sanatan Dharma, and our identity should be shaped by our commitment to service rather than superficial promotion.”
The Chief Minister also paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the Ram Temple.
During his visit, he met with Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj, President of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and visited the Mani Ram Das Cantonment to check on its residents’ well-being. He also met with Suresh Das Ji Maharaj at Digambar Akhara and Kishore Das Ji Maharaj at Bada Bhakt Mal, where he was honored with a shawl, with Mahant Awadhesh Das and other sants in attendance.
