Ludhiana: There was chaos in Jagraon city late at night when a wholesale cosmetic showroom situated on the way from Ishar Halwai Chowk to Gurudwara Shri Gururam Das caught fire. The cause of the fire is being told to be the firecrackers being burst on Diwali night. The sparks from the firecrackers ignited fire which later turned the showroom into a fireball.
The shop Khurana Enterprise has two owners, Prince and Tinku. Both of them went home from the shop due to Diwali. But shortly after people saw flames coming out of the goods kept on the upper floor of the shop, they informed the nearby shop owner. The fire brigade department was informed, but due to the narrow streets, the fire brigade vehicle could not reach the shop.
After a lot of effort, the fire could be controlled. The fire was spreading rapidly due to the presence of perfumes and other flammable items inside the shop.
