10031 Sarpanchs of 19 districts will be sworn in at the oath ceremony.

Ludhiana: Preparations have been made to administer oath to the newly elected Sarpanchs in Punjab. It has been decided to organize the oath ceremony in Cycle Valley in Ludhiana on 8 November. A pandal will be set up in about forty acres of land for the ceremony. Preparations have been started by the Rural Development and Panchayat Department. CM Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal will also attend the ceremony. However, the government was earlier preparing to organize the ceremony in the village Sarabha.

10031 Sarpanchs of 19 districts will be sworn in at the oath ceremony. Sarpanchs of the four districts where by-elections are being held will be sworn in later. However, Panchayat members will be sworn in district-wise in the second phase. At the same time, a series of meetings is also going on regarding this matter.

Written forms related to the oath ceremony have been sent to the Sarpanchs by the Panchayat Department. Sarpanchs are being asked whether they will take the oath in Punjabi or in some other language. If the elected Sarpanch agrees to come in buses, then the government is planning to make arrangements for this as well.

All the cabinet ministers will also be present in this gathering. The security cover will also be strong during this visit. During the Congress government, when CM Captain Amarinder Singh was there, the elected Sarpanches were sworn in in Patiala. Before that, during the Akali BJP rule, this ceremony was held in Bathinda.
