Three Palestinian men were killed by Israeli gunfire in Qabatiya, located south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, as reported by the Health Ministry. Witnesses indicated that Israeli soldiers opened fire with live ammunition at a vehicle after colliding it with a military vehicle to compel it to halt. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its personnel transported the bodies of two individuals from the vehicle to a medical center in Qabatiya.
A third victim, according to Palestinian security sources, was shot while he was on the roof of his family’s home. He was taken to Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Israeli military has not issued a statement regarding this incident, as noted by the Xinhua news agency.
These recent fatalities increase the total number of Palestinians killed in the northern West Bank to seven since Tuesday morning. The Palestinian Health Ministry previously reported that four individuals died due to Israeli airstrikes and gunfire in the regions of Jenin and Tubas.
In a separate announcement, the Israeli army indicated that one of its drones targeted an armed group near Qabatiya. Tensions in the West Bank have risen significantly since October 7, 2023, with over 760 Palestinians reported killed by Israeli fire and shelling, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
