The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has dismantled a significant drug smuggling operation as part of its ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.
Among those arrested is a young man from Jalandhar, Punjab, named Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa, son of Kulwant Singh, who hails from the village of Gol. During the operation, authorities seized not only a large quantity of drugs but also various firearms and weapons.
It has come to light that Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa, who faces charges related to drug smuggling in Canada, traveled to India in March of this year and returned to Canada after spending several days in Punjab.
RCMP officials reported that Randhawa was apprehended at a lab in Vancouver, where he was found in possession of a substantial cache of firearms, explosives, and drugs, including 390 kg of methamphetamine, 35 kg of cocaine, and 15 kg of MDMA. According to an Assistant Commissioner of the RCMP, the volume of drugs seized was sufficient to pose a serious threat to the entire Canadian population—twice over.
