Ugly clash between two groups over flower pot reaches Civil Hospital; thrash each other with shoes, slaps

Ludhiana: Cases of daily fights and clashes between two groups are now common in Ludhiana Civil Hospital. Despite the presence of a police post in the hospital, people who came to get medical treatment openly clashed with each other. In a recent incident, a person was attacked with shoes in the emergency ward.

Last night at around 11.30 pm, a person who came to get medical treatment for a fight in the Haibowal area was beaten with shoes and slapped by 10 to 12 people of the other party in the emergency ward of the civil hospital. ASI, constable, and security guard posted in the emergency of the hospital kept mediating between the two parties. Despite this, the attackers kept slapping and hitting him with shoes.

At the same time, people of the other party alleged that the said youth attacked their house and injured a total of 6 people including 3 women of the house. After which the said accused reached the hospital for medical treatment. On receiving the information of the case, the police of police station division 2 and the post in-charge reached the spot. They took the attackers out of the emergency and got the injured medically examined and sent them to the concerned police station to register a complaint.

Lalit Mohan, a resident of Haibowal Bank Colony, said that on Wednesday evening his son was parking the car outside the house. During this time, a flower pot from the house of a person living in the neighborhood fell down. Angered by this, he abused the woman living in the house. When Lalit Mohan went to talk to him at around 10 pm, the said neighbors attacked him.

When he came to the emergency of the Civil Hospital at 11:30 pm for medical checkup, the people of the other party already present in the emergency started slapping and attacking him with shoes. Lalit Mohan was seriously injured during the attack.

On the other hand, Vinod Kumar of the other party said that Lalit Mohan along with his family attacked his family. Vinod Kumar, his wife Rekha, son Karan Lahoria, daughter Baby, younger brother Pushpinder Lal and mother were injured in the attack. The injured got a medical checkup done at the Civil Hospital and complained about the matter to the police of Haibowal police station.
