Ludhiana: Last evening in Ludhiana, a wife killed her husband with a sharp weapon. She, along with her family members, threw his body in an empty plot. A passerby saw the body lying in the plot and raised an alarm. Police from Sadar police station reached the spot. Police kept the body in the civil hospital late at night.
According to the information, while going from Gill Road to Malerkotla Road, the police of Sadar police station got information about the body of a person being found in an empty plot at around 10 pm. Police reached the spot and took the body in custody and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that the deceased person, 38-year-old Pawan Kumar, was a driver by profession. He originally hails from Udaipur village of Balampur district of UP. He lived in a rented house on Gill Road in Ludhiana. Police took the woman’s wife into custody after examining the CCTV footage from the crime scene and interrogating the deceased’s neighbors.
Inquiry revealed that the deceased was having an illicit relationship with a woman known to him. Due to this his wife along with her family members killed Pawan with sharp weapons.
After the murder, everyone fled after throwing the dead body in a plot adjacent to the McD showroom on Malerkotla Road. Police have arrested all the accused who carried out the incident. Police will hold a press conference in this matter today.
