Big Gift to farmers on occasion of Gurupurab: CM Nayab Saini releases Rs 300 crore in account of over 2 lakh farmers

Chandigarh: On the occasion of the 555th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has given a big gift to the farmers of the state. The CM has released a bonus amount of Rs 300 crore in the bank accounts of 2 lakh 62 thousand farmers. The remaining installment will also be released soon.

It is worth noting that yesterday (November 14), Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced in the House that to provide relief to the farmers in lieu of mobilizing more resources for Kharif crops, an amount of Rs 300 crore will be released by the state government on November 15 in the accounts of the farmers through DBT as bonus.

Apart from this, an amount of Rs 550 crore will be released soon. Earlier also, an amount of Rs 496.89 crore has been released by the government on August 16, 2024

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the distribution of 40 lakh soil health cards to the farmers through WhatsApp. Under this facility, farmers will get all kinds of related information through WhatsApp. Apart from this, Chief Minister Nayab Saini also launched the Vivaad Se Samadhan Yojana (VSSS-2024) scheme. Under this scheme, issues related to enhancement will be resolved.

This scheme will be in force from 15 i.e. today for the next 6 months. With this scheme, more than 7 thousand plot holders will get a big relief of about Rs 550 crore.
