PM Modi Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Divas in Bihar, Highlights Tribal Welfare Initiatives

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jamui, Bihar, to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas and paid tribute to tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda, marking the start of his 150th birth anniversary celebrations. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed excitement over the Prime Minister’s second visit this year, emphasizing that it sends a strong message.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed excitement over the Prime Minister’s second visit this year, emphasizing that it sends a strong message of development for Bihar and the nation.

During the event, Modi highlighted the NDA government’s initiatives for tribal welfare, noting that the budget for tribal development has increased from under Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 1.25 lakh crore over the past decade. He announced a new scheme, Dharti Aaba, Janjatiya Gram, Utkarsh Abhiyan, aimed at investing Rs 80,000 crore in over 60,000 tribal villages to enhance facilities and create employment opportunities for youth.

State BJP president Dilip Jaiswal remarked on the widespread celebrations in Jamui, underlining the Prime Minister’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities. In response to questions about the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, he expressed confidence in the BJP’s performance, stating that the people recognize the need for development under Modi’s leadership.
