Trans-border narcotics and arms cartel busted: Amritsar police apprehends 2 with drugs, pistols and cartridges

Police have lodged FIR under the NDPS Act

Chandigarh: Acting strong against creating a drug-free Punjab, Amritsar Police busted trans-border narco smuggling and arms cartel. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

Today in a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted trans-border narco smuggling and arms cartel. With this Amritsar Police also apprehended 2 persons and seized 8.275 Kg Heroin, 6 Kg opium, 13.1 kg chemical, 4 pistols, 17 cartridges. Police have lodged FIR under the NDPS Act.

Police have registered the case at PS Islamabad and Investigations are on-going to establish backward & forward linkages.
