Dense fog hits visibility in Punjab, PRTC bus meets with an accident; many injured

A PRTC bus became a victim of accident near village Kuti Kishanpura on the Bathinda Dabwali National Highway under Sangat Mandi

Bathinda: A thick blanket of dense fog has engulfed the majority parts of Punjab. The fog has been caused by snowfall in higher regions. Meanwhile, the lives of commuters and travelers have been thrown out of gear as dense fog has severely affected the visibility on roads and highways.

Due to less visibility, a major accident occurred in Bathinda due to dense fog. A PRTC bus became a victim of accident near village Kuti Kishanpura on the Bathinda Dabwali National Highway under Sangat Mandi

According to the information received, PRTC bus collided with a standing trailer in the morning. It is being told that this bus was going from Dubwali to Chandigarh and due to dense fog, when the bus reached Kuti Kishanpura village, it collided with a trolley. In this accident, the conductor of the bus was seriously injured.

The injured passengers were admitted to the government hospital in Mandi Dabwali. Fortunately, no loss of life in this accident has been reported. As per information about six to seven passengers were injured who were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is said to be dense fog.
