Ludhiana: Today, the District Bar Association Ludhiana will protest against the attack on lawyers Himanshu Arora and Gaurav Arora outside their homes in Amritsar, Punjab. The entire lawyer fraternity in Ludhiana will be on a complete strike today. This step has been taken in support of the state-level call made by the District Bar Association Amritsar. This decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bar Association.
President Chetan Verma and Secretary Parminder Pal Singh said that this protest is being done against the attack on two lawyers Himanshu Arora and Gaurav Arora outside their homes in Amritsar. The Bar Association has strongly condemned the police for not taking action against the accused.
The Executive Committee said in its resolution that the Bar Association Ludhiana is united with the legal community and demands immediate action against the accused. The Bar Association has requested all judicial and revenue officials to avoid passing adverse orders in cases of absence on the protest day and adjourn the cases. The entire lawyer fraternity of Ludhiana is united in the interest of the lawyers.
Lawyer Narindra Kumar Adia said that attacks on the lawyer fraternity are happening every day, which is a matter of concern. The government should ensure the safety of lawyers so that lawyers can protect the interests of the people.
