Theft at LIC employee’s house in Rohtak; gold jewelry, Rs 80 thousand cash stolen

The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Rohtak: Thieves targeted the closed house of an LIC employee in Rohtak’s Nehru Colony. The theft took place when the family had gone to Vaishno Devi. The thieves broke the lock of the house and cupboard from the back and fled after stealing jewelry and cash. Family members informed the police about the matter when they got to know about it. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Amit, a resident of Nehru Colony, Rohtak, has lodged a complaint of theft with the City Police Station. He said in the complaint that he works in LIC. On November 17, at around 7:15 am, he locked his house and went to Vaishno Devi Jammu with his family.

On November 18, at around 11 pm, his friend Krishna informed him over the phone that there was a theft in his house and the lock of the house was broken. On the evening of November 19, at around 6:15 pm, he reached home with his family. He saw that the lock of the door of the house was broken. The cupboard was also broken and the items were scattered in the house.

He said that when he came home and checked the belongings, he found that the jewellery and cash were stolen. He found that 1 gold necklace, 1 gold chain, 2 gold rings and about 80 thousand rupees in cash were stolen from the house.

He had kept his jewellery and cash in the cupboard. The accused thieves also uprooted and took away the DVR of the CCTV camera installed in the house. After this, he complained about the matter to the police. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
