Former MLA Rajendra Rana makes serious allegations against CM Sukhu, says ‘public wants to know the truth’

The former MLA, accusing the government of giving free hand to corruption, said that the Chief Minister has given his close ones and friends the freedom to loot the state.

Shimla: Former MLA Rajendra Rana has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and said that the people of the state want to know the truth about his relationship with Gyan Chand alias Gyanu, who is caught in the clutches of ED on charges of illegal mining. He accused the Chief Minister of misleading the public about his relationship with this notorious mining mafia of his constituency.

Rana completely rejected the Chief Minister’s clarification and said that it is not possible that the Chief Minister himself has no relationship with a person whom he has taken to Shimla in his car several times and given “VIP treatment”.

Rajendra Rana claimed that video clippings of taking Gyan Chand alias Gyanu to Shimla in the Chief Minister’s car and welcoming him by opening the car door are still present. He questioned what explanation the Chief Minister will give on these clippings! Rana said that the people of the state now want a clear and concrete answer from the Chief Minister.

Rana, referring to the ban on mining in the state during the rainy season, said that when illegal mining was completely stopped during the natural disaster, Gyanchand Gyanu and his henchmen were openly mining in the middle of the Beas River. This work cannot be possible without the support and protection of the government. He said that it is clear that Gyanchand Gyanu has the protection of the government, and there are big political interests behind this whole game.

The former MLA, accusing the government of giving free hand to corruption, said that the Chief Minister has given his close ones and friends the freedom to loot the state. He said that mafias like Gyanchand Gyanu have contacts on a large scale and now it is a matter of investigation agencies how they will reach the big fish in this case.

Rana said sarcastically that the present government has become the most infamous government ever in the matter of corruption, where the state is being looted with the connivance of the mafia and the government.
