The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate collaborative research projects over the next five years, allowing IIT Bombay students and faculty to work alongside Samsung engineers.

This collaboration aims to enhance student industry readiness while providing Samsung engineers with specialized training and certification in emerging technologies like digital health and AI from IIT Bombay.

Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of SRI-Noida, emphasized that this partnership merges industry expertise with academic excellence, fostering research, innovation, and talent development to tackle real-world challenges in digital health and AI. Prof. Upendra V. Bhandarkar, Associate Dean (R&D) at IIT Bombay, highlighted the mutual commitment to innovation and knowledge exchange, creating opportunities for students and faculty to engage with the industry and enhance research prospects.

The MoU also promotes the publication of joint research papers to support knowledge sharing, driving technological advancement and industry-focused innovation. This collaboration is expected to lay the groundwork for a sustained exchange of expertise, pushing the limits of next-generation technologies and inspiring future innovations.
