New Delhi: BJP leader Kapil Mishra stated on Sunday that attempts to obstruct the survey of a mosque in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, are misguided, asserting that the truth will ultimately prevail and court orders will be enforced.

Mishra emphasized, “The survey is court-mandated and will continue. Once the truth is revealed, appropriate actions will follow. Those who think they can disrupt this process through violence or intimidation are mistaken. Court orders cannot be ignored, nor can the beliefs of millions be suppressed.”

He recalled past injustices in Sambhal, asserting that it is time to correct them. “Justice and the rule of law must be upheld at all costs. Riots did not stop the Ayodhya case, nor will they stop Sambhal. Similarly, unrest did not hinder Kashi and Mathura. The law will prevail, and the historical and scientific importance of Sambhal will come to light.”

Mishra added, “What once existed will be restored, and any attempts to incite chaos will be met with a firm response under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership.”

The situation escalated in Sambhal when protesters clashed with police during the mosque survey, resulting in stone-pelting. In response, police used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd, and several protesters were arrested.

Sambhal District Magistrate Rajendra Painsia clarified that the survey was being conducted in accordance with court orders. He noted that the survey was scheduled from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. to avoid disruption during prayers, and that the Jamia committee was cooperating with the process. However, some individuals outside the designated area engaged in violent behavior.
