In the video, Gulzar signed Kher’s book, “89 Autumns of Poems: Selected, Neglected, Suspected,” and included a special message for him.

Sampooran Singh Kalra, known as Gulzar, is renowned for his memorable contributions to Hindi cinema, starting his career as a lyricist with the film “Kabuliwala,” featuring Balraj Sahni. He has written songs and scripts for numerous films and directed acclaimed works like “Maachis,” “Aandhi,” “Mausam,” “Khushboo,” “Parichay,” and “Koshish.” This year, he received the prestigious Jnanpith Award in February.

As for Kher, he is currently being praised for his performance in “Vijay 69,” a heartwarming film about a 69-year-old man named Vijay who challenges societal norms by training for a triathlon. Directed by Akshay Roy, the film was released on Netflix on November 8.
