Finance Minister Cheema Lays Foundation Stone for Janal-Diwangarh Road, Set to Be Completed by March 31

Didiba Mandi: Punjab’s Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema laid the foundation stone for the road connecting Janal village to Diwangarh (Kamper) in the Didiba assembly constituency. He assured the people that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the development of the state. He stated that the multifaceted development of both rural and urban areas.

Didiba Mandi: Punjab’s Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema laid the foundation stone for the road connecting Janal village to Diwangarh (Kamper) in the Didiba assembly constituency. He assured the people that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the development of the state. He stated that the multifaceted development of both rural and urban areas in the Didiba assembly constituency is being carried out in a phased manner, and road construction is an essential part of these development efforts.

Cheema mentioned that the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board has released approximately ₹1.75 crore for the construction of this 4.40-kilometer long road, which is expected to be completed by March 31, 2025. He noted that the residents of these villages have long been demanding this road, and previous governments had only laid the foundation stone without further action.

He added that the completion of this road will provide significant relief to farmers and other drivers, enhance connectivity within the villages, save fuel costs for vehicles, and reduce travel time. Present at the event were OSD Tapinder Singh Sohi, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Ajay Garg, SDO Daljit Singh, JE Jeevan Jot Singh, Jatin Kumar, Rinku Janla, Rajpal Chand, Gagandeep Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Sarpanch Harpreet Singh, and members Gurvinder Singh, Harbilas Singh, Jagsir Singh, Jasveer Singh, Pragat Singh, and Gurpayar Singh, among others.
