7 cities of Haryana to become smart, included under ICCC project; Rs150 crore to be spent in Hisar

In Hisar alone, Rs 150 crore will be spent on this project and 1000 CCTV cameras will be installed in the city.

Hisar: To make Haryana a smart state, the Urban Local Bodies Department has included Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Rohtak and Sonipat including Hisar in the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) project. This will help in curbing crime and civic amenities can also be monitored in the selected districts under this project.

In Hisar alone, Rs 150 crore will be spent on this project and 1000 CCTV cameras will be installed in the city. That is, more than 7000 cameras will be installed in 7 cities under this project and huge amount will be spent on this.

In Hisar, every square, intersection, educational institution, temple, market, main road, drinking water, and security system of the city will be monitored through these CCTVs.

Under this project, the city will be monitored through the command center. To finalize the DPR of this project, a two-member consultant team of Gurugram Agency of Local Bodies Department Haryana (ULB) reached Hisar Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. He held a meeting with the engineers of 4 departments (Municipal Corporation, Public Health Department, Police Department, and Haryana Urban Development Authority) for two and a half hours.

After seeing this DPR in the meeting of Hisar Corporation officials from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Neeraj asked the agency employees and engineers for their opinion on marking another place for the command center of the project. On this, the Corporation XEN suggested developing the Community Center of Sector-13 as a command center. In such a situation, considering this place better, now there will be a discussion on this as well.
