Bihar: Four persons killed, three injured in Arwal road accident

Patna: A devastating road accident in Arwal district, Bihar, on Thursday evening resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left three others injured. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM near Parsadi English village, within the jurisdiction of the Town Police Station. According to Ali Sabri, the Station House Officer (SHO), the victims were residents.

The incident occurred around 7:30 PM near Parsadi English village, within the jurisdiction of the Town Police Station. According to Ali Sabri, the Station House Officer (SHO), the victims were residents of Kamta village and were traveling in a Mahindra Scorpio SUV to attend a wedding in Patna.

The accident happened when the vehicle, traveling at high speed, struck a small speed breaker, causing the driver to lose control. The SUV skidded and plunged into the Son Canal next to the road.

Tragically, four family members lost their lives at the scene. Fortunately, three others survived despite sustaining serious injuries. They were quickly rescued and taken to Sadar Hospital, where they are currently reported to be out of danger.

The deceased have been identified as Parmanand Kumar (30), Priyanka Kumari (28), Soni Kumari (22), and their one-year-old daughter, Tannu Kumari, all from Kamta village. The injured individuals are Namneet Kumar (20), Savita Devi (30), and Vaijanti Devi (45).

SHO Sabri stated that family members have been notified about the accident, and the bodies have been recovered from the canal and sent for postmortem. The injured are receiving treatment at Sadar Hospital.
