Dharamshala: As soon as the winter session of the Assembly was announced in Dharamshala, preparations have gained momentum in the Assembly campus located in Tapovan, while the opposition has also started sharpening its political edge. Recently, BJP’s veteran leader Shanta Kumar has raised the political temperature again by raising the issue of Central University in Dharamshala. That is, this time too Tapovan will heat up a lot on the issue of Central University. It is believed that in this winter session, not being able to start the work of the Central University campus can become a noose around the neck for the state government. Social organizations of the region are also planning to surround the state government.
The proposed Central University campus in Jadrangal of Dharamshala is waiting to start for about a decade and a half, but the work has not started yet. The state government has to deposit Rs 30 crore to the forest department, but the state government has not deposited this money till date, although during the winter session of the last assembly, the CM had assured to start the work soon, but it could not happen.
Therefore, now during the winter session in Tapovan, the opposition along with the public is also making a strategy to corner the state government on this issue. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the state government is able to counter the people of the area and the opposition on this issue.
